Concept:

Impulse(J):

- It is defined as a force acting on the object for a particular period of time.
- It is a vector quantity, since it has both magnitude and direction, it is represented by using the symbol ‘J’.
- Mathematically it is represented as the product of the force acting on the object and the time on which it is acting.

Hence, it can be written as
