American Auto is a show that should be getting a lot more attention. It has potential to be as good as Abbott Elementary. These are the only current quality network television shows.

NBC is the third broadcast network to unveil its midseason game plan (following Fox and ABC), and the big news is that Magnum P.I. will get a new time slot to go with its new network.

The reboot, which had been airing on Friday night when CBS cancelled it last May, will shift to Sunday at 9 pm when it makes its NBC debut with Season 5 on Feb. 19.

Other key takeaways from NBC’s early-2023 game plan:

* Melissa Rauch’s Night Court revival will air Tuesdays-at-8 pm beginning Jan. 17. The sitcom’s special two-episode premiere will lead directly into the two-hour series finale of New Amsterdam. The following week, American Auto Season 2 will follow Night Court at 8:30 pm; starting Jan. 31, La Brea and That’s My Jam will follow at 9 pm and 10 pm, respectively.

* New spinoff America’s Got Talent: All-Stars will occupy Mondays from 8-10 until The Voice returns on March 6.

* The Blacklist returns with its 10th season on Sunday, Feb. 26.

* Grand Crew will continue to warm the bench (probably until summer).

American Auto is a show that should be getting a lot more attention. It has potential to be as good as Abbott Elementary. These are the only current quality network television shows.

It’s the only nbc show I watch but I don’t really care about it. It’s fine but not great.

Woo-hoo! Magnum P.I. not only has a premiere date, but a new photo as well. SO looking forward to it!

As am I – was disappointed when it was axed by CBS. Anticipating more adventures with “the lads” and the red Ferrari.

Photo looks embellished to me

Yes!!!! I’ll be watching Magnum P.I. live when it returns…I hope it gets many more seasons then what it got on CBS after it’s initial pickup order.

It’s sad “New Amsterdam” is ending when this season is so good again.

So glad to see N/A go, last two seasons have been garbage!!

Agreed. An intelligent show became a real stinker due to poor storylines.

Agree as well. So disappointing b/c I was really hooked on this show – but the story lines have really taken a different turn. While some people may enjoy them, for me it is no longer something I’m watching.

Seems like Magnum should lead into the Blacklist as it is the more popular of the two ratings wise (viewers & demo).

… anyway, just glad Magnum, Higgins and the crew are back!

But then it would’ve faced The Equalizer on CBS. I give NBC credit for putting it where they did. Its main competition will be East New York, & it should be able to hold its own against that.

I thought the same, but Found needs a great lead-in, plus it wouldn’t be too good to compete with The Equalizer. I expected Magnum PI to be back on Fridays in its usual time slot, so it could prove it’s more popular than its CBS replacement, but Sundays should be fine as well.

Roz and Bull are still around (and Marsha Warfield/Roz is still acting on 911) – wonder if they’re asking them to pop in on the new Night Court?

As much as I’ll miss Magnum on Fridays… they’re probably going to have their best post Football Sunday nights in years with that schedule…… everything else seems standard enough except – what happened to that La Brea look pause off the schedule after episode 7 due to special effects delays?…….
….and Night Court will either overperform or get like 0.3 out of the gate and drop even further in future weeks.

Episode 8 can’t be on November 8 since it is election night. Regular programming is preempted.

That’s episode 7 you’re thinking of…it airs next week and then the show returns in early January. Was expecting 3+ months minimum wait are the episode airing nov 15th

Any news on LA Fire & Rescue which was supposed to be on the midseason schedule?

So America’s Got Talent All Stars are already acts that are encoring from previous seasons and now TUESDAY night is going to be a 2 hour encore of that???? That seems like insanity.

I’m glad NBC is bringing back Magnum and the gang. Love that show! NCIS Hawaii needs to bring back the officer and make a love thing between Special Agent in charge and him. Good show

Where is Transplant?

That’s too bad about Transplant. NBC treated it horribly for season 2 by having limited publicity and moving it all around the schedule.

glad to see NBC bringing back MAGNUM P Ias well as THE BLACKLIST,I still think 8PM is to early for tHE BLACKLIST!

Grand Crew > American Auto

Only disappointment is that Magnum PI will be going against East New York on Sundays.

So is La Brea coming back on the 24th or the 31st? Because the article says the following week after the 17th, but the calendar doesn’t say until the 31st.

Edited for maximum clarity. –Mgmt.

I thought the Voice was only on once a year

I’m sorry to see New Amsterdam go when the network keeps some really lame shows.

Given that Magnum PI started on CBS, does one think that it will air—this new season—on the streaming service Peacock? There is so much airing at that time slot already. Thanks!

What’s it all about

Sure hope East New York is renewed for another season!!

Still no broadcast news for The upcoming American Season of The Wheel taped last year in the midseason schedule? Love the original British version.

NBC without comedies is swan song of broadcast television

Bring Back Macgyver!

What is the status of the 3rd season of the Canadian import for NBC, “Transplant ?”

February 19th will not come soon enough! So looking forward to Magnum P.I. 😍😍

Same🤗And our local NBC affiliate is already airing Magnum reruns at 9/8 pm, so I’ll be used to its new time slot.

Is there any word when/if the episodes filmed when they were on CBS will come to Peacock so that I can catch up?
