### Description

This hands-on activity has student find the sum of the measures of the exterior angles of polygons.
Skilled need to complete this activity
• Ability to measures angles
• Know what an exterior angle is
I have used this activity several ways.
1) Individually: I give students the sheet that has 12 shapes on it. Student measure each exterior angle and add them. They discover that the sum should always be 360o. Normally this is for students that missed the class lesson on angles of polygons.
2) In small groups: I cut out the small figures. I have students work in group of 3 or 4. Each student finds the measure of 3 polygons. Then students share their results.
3) As a class: I print the large sheets. Each student get a sheet, and find the sum of the exterior angles. On the board I make a chart. Student come up and add their results to the chart. Then as a class we discuss what we found. We also discuss, measuring error since some student will get 359 or 361 instead of 360.
