The Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University we know today is the product of a long and prestigious history. When barnstormer John Paul Riddle met entrepreneur T. Higbee Embry in 1925 and formed the Embry-Riddle Company to teach the adventurous to fly, it was the beginning of a vision that has produced more than 129,000 alumni who drive innovation and keep the aerospace and related industries running safely and productively.

We hire only the best faculty. At Embry-Riddle, professors share the knowledge they’ve gained from decades of industry and higher-learning experience to our students to ensure that graduates will be better prepared than the competition in the workforce.

While our students strive to make A’s in the classroom, our student-athletes put up impressive numbers on the fields and courts as well. The student body also has access to high-quality athletic facilities to ensure they tend to their bodies when they aren’t expanding their minds.

The University has been elected to take part in elite associations such as the Oak Ridge Associated Universities, Southeast Association for Research in Astronomy, and the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research.

The founders of Embry-Riddle were visionary entrepreneurs with dreams that gave rise to a reality bigger than their imaginations. The Embry-Riddle Company was founded over 90 years ago to promote aviation through airmail carrier, aircraft sales, teaching the daring to fly, providing thrill rides, performing air shows, even transporting passengers on their scheduled mail routes.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is a great university and the faculty are incredible. I graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University eight years ago and would recommend the school to anyone.Prescott, AZ is a great location although some may not like it because it is not a big city. There is plenty to do and lots of fun to be had.I enjoyed the curriculum. A lot of the standards were based on the FAA design standards which was interesting and gave a different spin to the studies.

My college experience has helped me immensely, both mentally and financially.Strive for good SAT scores and a GPA of atleast 3.0. While in college, work hard, but also enjoy your experience. There is a balance that is necessary for the appropriate “college experience”. I like Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

I am loving Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University every minute here. The facilities are very nice, and the people are also very nice. Despite being in a very conservative town, the people at the University are generally very understanding, and accommodating. The housing is pretty nice, and there are amazing clubs to do. I am a part of Hang Gliding, and RXP/DSLC(Developing Space Launch Capability). There are also a lot of cultural opportunities here, albeit not as much as at my high school, in Tacoma, WA, but there are a lot of international students.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University definitely the best choice for what I needed. Their engineering program is one of the best in the country, and having Embry Riddle on your application definitely helps in industry. Easy going atmosphere, but very motivated and dedicated.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University was overall a great experience. I was in the business/safety program. When I went on my first job interview after graduation (I got the job), I remember thinking “oh my gosh, this is exactly what my degree program prepared me for!”. The professors experience and in-depth curriculum could not have better prepared me. The networking within in the industry is also a major bonus with being an ERAU grad. For example, one out of every three airline pilots in the united states today is an ERAU alumni–if you don’t believe me, just ask the flight crew on your next flight. I have worked with numerous other ERAU graduates and all had similar experiences to mine. I plan on pursuing my Master’s degree through Embry Riddle. If I had a choice to “do it all over again”, I would not hesitate to come back to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
