Description

I wrote this circuit to give students practice with the form (x-h)^2 + (y-k)^2 = r^2. I could imagine accelerated geometry, honors algebra two or precalculus students working through this circuit, especially as they prepare for the ACT or SAT. Students will need to know the components of the standard form equation of a circle, will need to know how to complete the square, will need to know vocabulary such as diameter, endpoint, radius and center, will have to know their area and circumference formulae, and will need to know how to simplify a square root!
I wrote it so that no calculators are needed.
There is no answer key since the answers are imbedded in the circuit (it is how students progress from one question to the next). My colleagues and I check our work very carefully but should you ever suspect an error or get stuck, please do not hesitate to email me at virginia.cornelius@gocommodores.org.
